Instagram photos are no longer viewable on Twitter web and its official apps. Facebook confirmed with The Verge that today's change is an expected part of its decision to end support for Twitter cards. Users will have to now click through to the Instagram website to view images pushed to Twitter via the service. This is a clear move to drive web traffic and likely serve some sort of advertising in the future. It's a shame that right now Facebook and Instagram are looking at profit first rather than making users happy. However Twitter may have an answer to users unhappy about this move.
