In the video we see James Franco (127 Hours, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) show off some of the awesome things Samsung's new Galaxy Camera can do, such as cropping out those annoying photo bombers with Samsung's built in photo editing, backing up your photographs to the cloud just incase you have an accident, and how to quickly share moments instantly to social sites such as Facebook and YouTube. All of this and more is achieved because the Samsung Galaxy Camera runs on Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which also means you can run a huge amount of apps from the Google Play Store, including a variety of photography apps like Instagram and even apps that don't have anything to do with imaging.
With a gorgeous 4.8-inch HD Super Clear touch screen LCD you can shoot and view your photos/videos in brilliant clarity and easy navigation. The Galaxy Camera comes with a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS 1 /2.3" sensor, a 4.1-86.1 mm (21x optical zoom) lens for capturing things that are far away, 8GB storage that can be expanded via micro-SD/SDHC/SDXC, and a 1650 mAh battery. The Galaxy Camera comes in at 300g and has dimensions of 70.8 x 128.7 x 19.1mm.
If you want something that combines the power and quality of a digital camera with a high end smartphone the Samsung Galaxy Camera may be what you're looking for. The fact that you can edit, capture and then share to anywhere you can think of is a huge bonus over traditional digital cameras. Make sure to check out the video below for a closer look.
