The video from Android Central shows off the Ubuntu's mobile OS running on a Galaxy Nexus. We get to see the homescreen which can show various things from tweets, messages and video calls, how the OS uses the four corners for navigation and various other parts of Ubuntu mobile. It features horizontal swipe views and menus which feature favourite and running apps. A stand out feature is search which can pretty accurately determined what exactly you’re looking for and give results for everything on the phone and even things such as shopping. Voice commands are also here, support for HTML5 web and native applications. Here we see it on a Galaxy Nexus but Ubuntu Mobile will work on all sorts of hardware, it supports x86 processors as well as common ARM chips without using Java Virtual Machines.
