Microsoft is shutting down the once popular Messenger application (MSN, Windows Live) on March 15th according to The Next Web. After the date the users will have to use Skype to chat to Messenger friends. Your list of friends will automatically be migrated to Skype when you sign in. This really comes as no surprise at all, the decline in users using Messenger has dropped dramatically over the years as more and more people used Facebook for messaging others and Skype for video calling.
