Facebook has announced today that the News Feed is getting a brand new look and feel, the first major change since on the platform since 2011.
At the press event CEO Mark Zuckerberg said: "The News Feed is one of the most important things we've built," It's like "the most personalized newspaper." He added: "the stories around you deserve to be displayed with more than just text. How we're all sharing is changing and the News Feed needs to evolve with those changes. This is the evolving face of News Feed."
The new News Feed features multiple feeds, the same design on mobile, bigger images with more focus placed on them, they will be given greater emphasis and will take up nearly 50% of the News Feed stories.
The new News Feed is launching on the web version today, with a mobile version coming in the next few weeks. You can join the waiting list over at facebook.com/newsfeed.
