Google may acquire WhatsApp for $1 Billion

A report from Digital Trends claims that an inside source at Google has been in talks to buy WhatsApp, the super popular messaging application. The current offer is said to be close to $1 billion. The app launched back in 2009 and has tens of millions of users. It has been downloaded more than 100 million times on Google Play and is often the number 1 app in the App Store.
