Qualcomm is launching a new quad-core version of its Snapdragon 400 chip, the MSM8926, with both 3G AND LTE built right in. Qualcomm has yet to reveal full specs but the MSM8926 will handle faster wireless speeds along with 42Mbps HSPA+ and TD-SCDMA which is important to China and other emerging regions. It will also still support shorter-range such as Miracast streaming, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth.
Qualcomm is also introducing 7 and 10-inch versions of their Reference Design tablet that is based on earlier 3G versions of the Snapdragon 400. These will be targeted at the developed world and we'll hopefully see them soon.
