The line between laptops and tablets is merging and HP is hoping for success with the HP Enxy X2, a powerful, super thin ultrabook with a detachable 1080 HD touch display that becomes a full tablet when taken from the keyboard via the magnetic latch.
The laptop features Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system and a seperate battery in each device giving you great battery life. It has a sleek, modern and minimal aluminium finish and is designed to suit your style according to HP. Also thanks to the weight and thiness of the Envy X2 it can be taken everywhere you want with ease.
The disconnecting and reconnecting of the HP Envy's keyboard is super easy to do. The keyboard has two magnet posts which guide the tablet onto the main connector, and it once connected it feels solid. To disconnect the keyboard you simply move the slider at the top to release the latch, and the tablet becomes free.
The ultrabook features Intel's Atom Z2760 processor (dual cores), 2GB of RAM memory, and both a front and rear facing camera. The front one is a HP TrueVision 1080p HD which is pretty impressive for a built-in webcam, and the rear camera is an 8-megapixel which includes a flash. HP always includes CyberLink YouCam DE software that adds some cool features.
The HP Envy 2 features Beats Audio which includes engineering tweaks such as isolating the audio amplifier and audio lines, as well as things such as fine-tuning on audio profiles.
