According to EA COO Peter Moore Microsoft and Sony are reporting upward trends for their respective console releases. Moore says that consumers are aware that new hardware is coming and their excitement is growing. Moore also says that Microsoft is reporting Xbox One pre-orders trending ahead of Xbox 360, while Sony believes the PlayStation 4 will be its "biggest hardware launch ever."
Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg also tweeted a few days ago that demand for the Xbox One is "through the roof", which some may think is merely to hype the console, several retailers suspending pre-orders for the the Xbox One may be an indication of truth.
GI.biz reports Analyst Colin Sebastian also thinks that the Xbox One could outship PlayStation 4 despite the negative reaction.
