Facebook has announced that 128 million users in the U.S. log in to the social network on the web every day, that's over 40% of Americans. On mobile its 101 million, that's almost 33%, a drop, but a big sign that Facebook is becoming more and more popular on the move. Facebook also revealed in an email to the media that they are moving away from "monthly active users" metric, stating that it's "old way of looking at the media world". This is likely to appeal much more advertisers as it will be a much better measure of the sites popularity. It's also not a surprising move considering the rumours surrounding video ads coming to the social network.
