Rockstar Games has today released the first footage of Grand Theft Auto: Online which will be the multiplayer side of GTA: V. GTA: Online will be up to 16 players that will "continue to expand and evolve after launch with new content" from Rockstar Games and also the GTA community.
Grand Theft Auto Online takes the fundamental Grand Theft Auto concepts of freedom, ambient activity and mission-based gameplay and makes them available to multiple players in an incredibly detailed and responsive online world.
Players can explore alone or with friends, with in co-op to complete missions, do activities, events, or even traditional game modes with people online. Players will be able to customise their characters appearance, improve stats, own custom vehicles, purchase property, do missions, jobs to earn cash and rise through criminal ranks.
Grand Theft Auto Online will be free with every copy of GTA V and will launch on October 1st.
