Some say the English language is getting worse and this may just enforce that belief. 'Twerk' a sexual dance move, 'selfie' a photo taken of oneself, and even 'phablet' a smartphone that is verging on the size of a tablet have all been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. Spokeswoman Katherine Connor Martin said the dictionary is one of the largest in the world and dates back 150 years, and that they add about 1,000 new entries to its online version every year.

Also added to the Oxford English Dictionary are words such as '"buzzworthy', 'fomo', and 'unlike'.

Katerine also says that the word twerk has been around for 20 years and has now generated enough usage to be added to the online directory. Unsurprising considering Miley Cyrus' use of the dance move.
