Things just keep getting worse for BlackBerry. BB10, the companies OS that planned to bring them back into relevance hasn't had much adoption at all, and now the company has announced that it will lay off around 4,500 employees as part of its plan to reduce its operating costs by half over the next year. BlackBerry is expected to have a net operating loss for Q2 of almost one billion dollars due to the ever increasing dip in phone sales. The company is going to refocus on its enterprise business to try and turn things around. It will also reduce its portfolio from six devices to four, with two high end and two entry level smartphones.
