Apple iMac gets Haswell chips, new GPUs

Apple has made a smaller announcement today with a refresh of its iMac desktop computers. The company released a press release stating that the iMac range will now include new fourth-gen intel chips, new GPUs, improved WiFi (802.11a), and support for PCIe-based flash storage (up to 3TB Fusion drive, or 1TB SDD). The 21.5-inch iMac comes with a 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with iris Pro graphics, while the top of the line version comes with 3.4GHz and NVIDIA GeForce 700 series graphics, plus the option to upgrade to a core i7 which runs at 3.5GHz. The refreshed models are available starting today.
