As you may know Xbox One developers have free development kits and tools thanks to Microsoft's ID@Xbox program. Well now it looks like they'll be getting even more for free. Microsoft has announced that devs will get the Unity game engine for zilch at some point in 2014. This means porting games over to Xbox One that use Unity will be much easier. Even any work devs do on Xbox One will transfer easily to Windows and Windows Phone. Devs can feature SmartGlass and Kinect functionality while working with Unity an da special Xbox One Unity Pro license will be available for those who want even more.
