Samsung has announced that it will be opening its own standalone stores across Europe in partnership with Carphone Warehouse. The press release says that Carphone Warehouse will operate over 60 Samsung stores which will be rolled out over the next three months in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands and Sweden. The announcement follows the opening of three Samsung stores in Spain in 2013. a

The stores will have a premium look and feel and they'll offer the full range of Samsung mobiles, laptops, tablets and wearables. The stores will also feature things such as Carphone Warehouse’s assisted sales tool and connectivity platform using Samsung branded tablets.

Andrew Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of Carphone Warehouse said,

We are delighted to have been chosen as Samsung’s preferred European partner for their store roll-out.  Our Connected World Services business will combine Carphone Warehouse’s retailing expertise and systems with one of the world’s biggest brands and will help us make even more lives better through connected technology.

The press release goes on to say that there is potential to expand the relationship with Carphone Warehouse, so if all goes to plan we could see a Samsung store in most major cities.
