KLM, the Royal Dutch Airlines, is known for it's well made and fun videos, and their latest is no exception. The short film shows off one of KLM's beautiful planes along with Santa making some children very happy by bringing them a truly magical Christmas. It's actually good to see Santa in a Christmas advert as he does seem to be slacking this year!
Way back in 1919, young aviator lieutenant named Albert Plesman was sponsored by the ELTA aviation exhibition in Amsterdam. It turned out to be a great success and after it’s closure several Dutch commercial interests had the intention to establish a Dutch Airline. Plesman was nominated to head the new company and in September Queen Wilhelmina awarded the yet to be founded KLM its Royal predicate. A month later, KLM was founded by Plesman, becoming one of the world’s first commercial airlines companies. Since then KLM has always been a forward thinking airline. Thanks to this they have grown massively over the years merging with many companies as well as achieving many awards including Best Airline Staff Service in Europe at the World Airline Awards twice in a row.
