Swatch is set to enter the smartwatch game to compete with the Apple Watch and the many Android Wear smartwatches out there. A Bloomberg report says that Swatch will bring the device to market within the next 90 days. According to CEO NICK Hayek the Swatch smartwatch will communicate via the Internet "without having to be charged", how this will happen is unknown. It will also allow consumers to make mobile payments, and will work with Windows and Android devices.

Swatch is also taking on other mobile payment platforms, the CEO said, "more retailers on its payment system after agreements with Switzerland’s two largest retailers, Migros and Coop.”
