Today is October 21st 2015, the day that Marty McFly travelled to in Back to The Future 2. While we don't have flying cars, we do kind of have hoverboards but they're not commericial products and require a hell of a lot of effort to get working. Thankfully Nike has created something that works exactly like in the movie, and that's the auto-lacing MAGs. While Nike has made a version of the MAG previously, it didn't have this tech inside.
Earlier today, Nike sent a pair to Michael J. Fox. The companies President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Parker said “We started creating something for fiction and we turned it into fact, inventing a new technology that will benefit all athletes.”
While you may be hyped to buy a pair we've got some bad news, they'll only be available via an auction, however the positive is that all proceeds from the Nike Mag will be going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. No specifics about the auction just yet however Nike has said more news will come in spring 2016.
