The iPhone first went on sale 8 years ago today, June 29, 2007 to be precise. Steve Balmer, CEO of Microsoft at the time famously said "There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance" and of course he couldn't have been more wrong. Since then iPhone has gone on to sell over 726 million units. An insane feat that many manufacturers would love just a fraction of.
