Facebook launches “Sponsored Results”, places ads before search results

By Stephen Robinson @xstex · On 22 August, 2012

Facebook has today launched it’s new ad placement called Sponsored Results. Now when you search anything on Facebook using the search box, paid advertisements relating to your queries will appear as the top result. These paid results will link to the companies relevant Facebook page. The ads can be closed by hitting the close button on the right of the ad, however a box will then appear asking why you did not like the ad.

Are you seeing Sponsored Results yet? Let us know what you think of them in the comments.
