Both the WiFi and 3G versions of the Kindle Touch are no longer available as new from Amazon US. This leads me to believe that Amazon is readying the next generation version of the device for the special event next week. While it could easily just be a standard lack of stock, it would be a rather big coincidence being so close to the event date.
