Microsoft increases Xbox One’s GPU speed

By Stephen Robinson @xstex · On 3 August, 2013

Xbox chief product officer Marc Whitten revealed this week that Microsoft has increased the speed of the Xbox One’s GPU from 800MHz to 852MHz. While a 6.63% increase isn’t a massive jump it’s still a positive sign that Microsoft is able to boost clock speed of the console’s AMD processor. It has also been revealed that the company has updated its graphics drivers sinc ethe console was shown off, as well as tweaking the operating system on a daily basis.

Microsoft’s Xbox One will release sometime in November and will go head-to-head with Sony’s PlayStation 4 which is rumoured to have an 800MHz clock speed.
