Last week it was revealed that Starbucks‘ mobile apps store data such as usernames, passwords and even your location in plain text. Today a company executive announced that a updated app is in the works.
Curt Garner, chief information officer of the company says they will “add extra layers of protection” to the “added measures” that he says already “sufficiently address the concerns.” Garner also reassures users that no data has been compromised. Starbucks haven’t said how long until the updated app will be live, but it hopefully should be soon to stop any further worrying.
