While looking for some cool apps for my new Macbook I stumbled across Focus, a productivity application for Mac that blocks distracting websites so you can focus on your work. The app built by Brad Jasper is super simple but does the job brilliantly. All you’ll get is an menu bar icon and a preferences menu. In there you’ll find general settings such as icon colour, starting Focus when you boot up and choosing which sites you wish to block when you’re in focus mode.
So what happens when you visit a blocked website when in focus mode? You’ll get a random quote to inspire you to keep working.
