Variety is reporting that Scarlett Johansson is signed to play the lead role in the upcoming Ghost in the Shell live-action film, an adaption of the anime science fiction film from 1995 which was based on manga of the same title by Masamune Shirow.
The movie will be directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) and is rumoured to also star Cesar D’ La Torre (West Hollywood Motel).
